How top swing fully reversible windows work
The sash opens outward, rotating on a horizontal axis. At a certain point in the opening the sash reverses fully, bringing the outer face inside the room so the glass can be cleaned without the need for ladders or access equipment. Once released, the sash can be returned to the closed position.
Crucially, no part of the sash projects into the room during operation. Curtains, blinds, and items on the windowsill are not disturbed — a practical advantage in bedrooms, kitchens, and any room where the sill is in use.
