All our windows and doors are manufactured in FSC-certified pine. The interior is always timber. On the exterior, you choose: natural timber in any stain or paint colour, or aluminium-clad for a completely maintenance-free outer face.
Aluminium cladding is powder-coated in any RAL colour, giving you the warmth of a timber interior with the durability of aluminium outside. It is the most popular choice for new-build self-builds where the owner wants a low-maintenance home.
We manufacture to order, there are no stock sizes to constrain your design. Full-depth frames are available to sit flush with the wall depth and avoid the need for sills and reveals. Custom shapes, oversized units, and non-standard configurations are handled by our technical department as a routine part of the process.
Most self-builds involve a triangle of client, architect, and main contractor. We are comfortable working within that structure. We provide full technical documentation for building control submissions, BIM objects for architects working in Revit, and detailed installation guidance for the on-site team. Our UK sales team co-ordinate directly with whoever is managing the programme.
We agree a delivery week at the point of order, and we keep to it. Windows and doors are the critical path item on most self-builds, and a late or wrong delivery causes costly delays. We have been supplying UK self-builders for over a decade and understand how tight site programmes run.
Our standard warranty covers 10 years on glass and hardware fittings. Paint finishes are covered for 5 years; stain finishes for 2 years. Full warranty terms are available on request.

Nordvest main entrance doors are manufactured in Norway to the same exacting standard as the window range. Available in timber or aluminium-clad, inward or outward opening, in fully glazed, full panel, or mixed configurations. Tilt and turn doors open inward in two modes: tilted at the top for controlled ventilation, or fully turned on the side hinge for unobstructed access. Most commonly specified as Juliet balcony doors on first floor and above, they are available as single or double leaf in timber or aluminium-clad.
Nordvest balcony doors are outward opening French doors supplied as single or double leaf, in full height glass or with a solid lower panel. Every door comes with three-point espagnolette locking, a friction stay to hold the door open at any position up to 90°, and a choice of hardwood or low-level threshold in timber or aluminium clad.
Nordvest sliding doors use a lift-and-slide mechanism where the door lifts slightly on its track to slide, then drops back down to seal when closed, giving a weathertight performance that conventional sliding doors cannot match. The ideal solution for large, glazed openings where an outward opening door is not practical.
