Most replacement window projects are driven by one of two things: existing windows that are failing thermally, or a renovation that warrants a visual upgrade. Our products address both at once. Norwegian manufacturing standards are considerably above what is typical in the UK market, frames are thicker, tolerances are tighter, and glazing units perform at a level that UK-made equivalents rarely reach.
A standard Nordvest triple-glazed unit achieves a Uw of 0.8 W/m²K or better, significantly outperforming most double-glazed replacements and reducing heat loss through the building envelope in a way that is directly felt as comfort rather than just recorded as a U-value.
We manufacture every window and door to the exact dimensions of your order. There are no stock sizes to work around. When replacing windows in an existing property, we take the measurements from your opening and build to those dimensions, whether the opening is standard, non-standard, or architecturally unusual.
Full-depth frames are available to sit flush with the wall depth, avoiding the need for sub-sills and liners that complicate installation in older properties.
Both material options are available for replacement projects. Timber is the natural choice where the property has a traditional character and the owner wants to maintain it. Aluminium-clad, powder-coated in any RAL colour, is increasingly popular for renovation projects where the owner wants a low-maintenance exterior combined with a warm timber interior.

Nordvest main entrance doors are manufactured in Norway to the same exacting standard as the window range. Tilt and turn doors open inward in two modes: tilted at the top for controlled ventilation, or fully turned on the side hinge for unobstructed access. Most commonly specified as Juliet balcony doors on first floor and above, they are available as single or double leaf in timber or aluminium-clad.
Nordvest balcony doors are outward opening French doors supplied as single or double leaf, in full height glass or with a solid lower panel. Every door comes with three-point espagnolette locking, a friction stay to hold the door open at any position up to 90°, and a choice of hardwood or low-level threshold in timber or aluminium clad.
Nordvest sliding doors use a lift-and-slide mechanism where the door lifts slightly on its track to slide, then drops back down to seal when closed, giving a weathertight performance that conventional sliding doors cannot match.
